I need new tires on my 2012 800 50". I currently have a 2" lift and Fox shocks. I have spent hours reading about "I use these wheels" and "I use these tires" but I just am not sure enough to pull the trigger on hundreds of dollars of tires and wheels and then they don't fit.
I have to stay at 50 inches, so no spacers. I go on 50" trails often. I would like to go to 27" diameter for just a bit more ground clearance.
In my "cart" are 2 more 12x6 stock front wheels. This is to be able to run the same size front and rear and carry a spare. For tires I am thinking Tusk Terrabite 27x9x12.
The questions are: Will it still be 50" (or at least go through the 50" gates), and will there be any interference with the motor mount. The local dealer just says "Nope, that won't work, you need to buy a new 900".
So what say you? If you tell me your wheel/tire setup please tell me if you are at 50" and if you have good clearance on that motor mount. I would keep the rear wheels and use 27x11x12 but I am convinced that would not clear the motor mount.
