those with heaters, t-stat bypass needed?

08 rzr, I'm thinking of adding a heater. Not sure which one yet but leaning towards the 26000 btu from jegs or summit. The only thing I'm really unsure of is if the y pipe in the hot side radiator hose post t-stat is good enough or if I really should do the t-stat bypass.

Motoalliance has a bypass, but only for 2011-14. If no one makes one for the 08 then it's a moot point.
