Putting my trans together after installing new bearings. For some reason when I install the gear for the shift indicator the shift shaft wont move. The shift indicator gear and shift shaft both move freely separately. With the shift shaft and shift indicator gears synced per the manual the only way to move the assembly is to rotate the the small shift indicator gear. I never touched the shift shaft. A few of my friends have looked it it and none of us can figure it out. Please tell me it's something stupid !
