Im tired of fighting the constant fuel leak of my stock fuel tank, picked up a fuel tank off of eBay ($120) for a 2011-2014 rzr S.
Could e swore I read somewhere it was a direct swap, my memory deceived me.
Getting the old tank out was easy two 10mm bolts that hold the straps onto the frame that wrap around the tank. My fuel pump header was already removed.
Tried to squeeze the new tank in with no luck. So I pulled out the grinder and started cutting.![]()
Moved the hole for the seat bracket back about 3/4. Still couldnt get the tank in, so I cut off the vertical bracket for the front of the seat bracket that was in the way. Managed to squeeze it into place a little more when I noticed its hitting the coolant lines running under the floor. So I again removed the tank and split the welded hold down brackets in half. Couldnt get them spread apart far enough to fit the tank in. I will take more pictures when I can.
Has anyone tried this before? Success or not? And what about the wiring for the fuel pump? I noticed it is a 4 wire on the new fuel tank header but only a 3 wire on the old.
